Overview

Rasteau is a famous village in France - known for their rich reds - and located in the Southern Rhone region opf the country. It is now its own Appellation and French law related to wine recognize it at the same standard as the more famous Chateauneuf-du-Pape. This wine is a lovely accompaniment for a special dinner with friends and family.  It is a very rich and full-bodied blend of 65% Grenache, 25% Syrah and 10% Mourvèdre. On the nose you will detect rich spices, pepper, and fruity dark berry fruits.  More fruit on the tongue - perhaps more plum?  Enjoy it with a hearty pan-seared duck breast.
