Overview
Eat, Drink and Give is a fundraiser for those suffering from the devastating earthquake in Haiti. A number of Toronto restaurants and Ontario and international wineries have come together to plan an evening of food and wine, with all proceeds going to Médecins Sans Frontieres/Doctors Without Borders.
Médecins Sans Frontieres/Doctors Without Borders has been present in Haiti since 1991providing emergency maternal and mental healthcare to thousands of women in and around Port-au-Prince. To date, MSF has sent an additional 300 international and over 600 national staff to aid with the relief effort following the earthquake. They have treated over 6000 patients, performed close to 1000 surgeries, and sent in over 320 tons of medical aid so far.
A dozen local and 5 international wineries are participating, along with a growing number of top Toronto area restaurants. Private collectors and wineries are also donating many items for auction. Two hundred early bird tickets will be available for $75, and the remainder will be sold at $100. One hundred VIP tickets will also be available at $150 which will give attendees a rare opportunity to experience a few classic aged or premium wines. This event will be held at Roy Thomson Hall.
