What it all comes down to is Real Food, and former vegan Nina Planck brings us back to reality with her beautifully written book. She was led back to health by Sally Fallon's chock-full cookbook "Nourishing Traditions". She was thrilled with the ancient wisdom in Sally's book but intimidated by the unapologetic advocacy of animal foods. There was no talk about moderation, but lots of talk about boiling bones and using liberal amounts of butter. Wanting to know for herself, Nina went straight to the "unimpeachable source," and read Price's tome, Nutrition and Physical Degeneration. So began her journey back to real food which she shares in this book.
