Overview
Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants.
With those three lines Michael Pollan eviscerated 50 years of dietary advice. The dirty little secret that Pollan exposes? That we really don't understand much about how food affects us and we're better off following "culture" than science. And who is the great cultural authority, when it comes to eating? You mother (or grandmother), of course!
Though slim, this is a masterpiece of science writing, and the best plunge into common sense on the topic of food since the inventionof low fat cookies.
